Centennial College Photography Program

The Centennial College Photography Program is proud to be a part of the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival. This year we thought of the theme of the 5 human senses and what that might mean to each participant. Eyesight, hearing, taste, touch and smell. When we think of human senses, we think of eyesight, hearing, taste, touch and smell. It is perceived that we may be capable of sensing much more than this but exactly how much more? That is an on-going subject for scientific research. Sight comes first, because the eye is such a specialized organ. Then comes hearing, touch, smell, and taste, progressively less specialized senses. We intentionally did not label any of the images according to a specific human sense, as we wanted the viewers to experience this individually. Each may have a different outcome, what was your experience?
