Commercial Vehicle Crossing Fees to Toronto Islands on Billy Bishop Airport Ferry
Commercial Vehicle Ferry Crossing Fees have remained unchanged for nearly a decade despite annual increases to maintenance and operational costs. In response, Billy Bishop Airport will increase Commercial Vehicle Ferry Crossing Fees to the Toronto Islands by 4% and will continue with annual increases based on the rate of inflation moving forward.
 
A ferry schedule remains in effect at Billy Bishop Airport for commercial vehicle crossings. All vehicles require an advanced permit to transport from the City of Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation Department. Contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (416) 392-8194.
 
Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport will work with its partners and airlines to ensure the safe passage of vehicles and minimize interference with airport operations.
 
The daily hours for transit are 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM and 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM.
 
  • Oversized vehicles or vehicles over 45 tonnes are to make special arrangements with the Airport Operations Communications Center at (416) 203-6942 ext. 10
  • Maximum vehicle length 23 meters without prior permission
  • Maximum vehicle weight 60 tonnes. Maximum height, 4.2 meters
  • Fee includes return ferry trip, runway escort service by airport-designated employees to and from Hanlan’s Point Park Gate. Wait times for runway crossings can vary based on aircraft traffic.
