Canadian International Air Show

Toronto (August 26, 2022) – Please be advised that the Canadian International Air Show (CIAS) is scheduled to take place Labour Day weekend from Saturday, September 3 to Monday, September 5 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., with a practice day scheduled to be held on Friday, September 2 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Although the Air Show is primarily based at Pearson International Airport, two to five participating civilian aircraft will be pre-positioned at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport prior to CIAS event time, and a Search-and-Rescue helicopter will be stationed on the seawall on the west side of the airport during the event, scheduled September 3 to 5.

Please be advised that during the 2022 edition of CIAS, the United States Air Force F35 jet will be setting off flares during their performance. These flares are connected to the performance and will not impact operations at Billy Bishop Airport.

CIAS organizers are sensitive to the residential communities surrounding Billy Bishop Airport and have mandated that all participating aircraft will arrive and depart the display area using flight paths pre-determined by the applicable regulatory agencies, while keeping safety of paramount consideration.

Comments and concerns regarding noise from Air Show aircraft and the Air Show in general, should be directed to (416)-263-3650. For a list of performers, please visit: cias.org.
