Overnight Construction Work at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport

Please be advised that there will be overnight construction related to the pedestrian tunnel at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport during the week of November 3 to November 7, 2014. Work will take place between approximately 12 a.m. and 5 a.m. each night.

The work being done involves excavation around the concrete embedded steel support posts for the elevator shaft on the island-side of the tunnel that must be completed after-hours to avoid a shut-down of vehicle access to the ferry during airport operations.

The Toronto Port Authority will make best efforts to minimize disruption and noise impact on the surrounding neighbourhood and regrets any inconvenience this may cause. We thank you for your patience as final stages of the tunnel’s construction are completed and look forward to opening the tunnel for public use in early 2015.
