Annual Tour Boat Safety Training Takes Place May 14

On Saturday May 14, the Toronto Port Authority is conducting its annual tour boat safety training for 250 crew members and officers of tour boat industry, as a member of the Toronto Marine Emergency Response Council (TMERC).

TMERC, which was established 15 years, include Toronto Passenger Vessel Association Toronto Marine Fire, and Police, Toronto EMS, George Brown College, King Safety, Inland Marine and Transport Canada, as well as the TPA.

The day consists of all-day training modules on first aid, evacuation, water survival, basic firefighting, emergency response, security and crowd control, all hosted at the TPA’s International Marine Passenger Terminal site on Unwin Avenue.
