The Toronto Port Authority (“TPA” or “Authority”) invites proposals for the appointment of Auditor. The term of the engagement is for five years commencing from the close of the annual meeting of the Toronto Port Authority, to be held in September 2014, until the close of the annual meeting to be held in 2019, subject to reappointment at each annual meeting.
The TPA was established in June 1999 under the Canada Marine Act as successor to the former Toronto Harbour Commissioners. The TPA is governed by a nine-member Board, appointed as per subsection 14(1) of the Canada Marine Act, and as per section 4.6 of the Authority’s Letters Patent.
The TPA has five business units which include the Port of Toronto, Outer Harbour Marina, Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, Property and Corporate Administration with a combined total operating budget of $50.0 million annually.

The TPA is not required to accept any proposal and the lowest proposal will not necessarily be accepted.
