Toronto Port Authority and Media Monkey Productions Win 2011 Telly Award for Best History/Biography Short Film

Toronto, August 4, 2011 – The Toronto Port Authority and Media Monkey Productions Inc. announced today that they have won top in their category for ‘Best History/Biography (non broadcast)’ for their short film Billy Bishop: Canadian Maverick at the prestigious 2011 Telly Awards in New York.

The short film, commissioned by the Toronto Port Authority in honor of the naming ceremony for the Billy Bishop Airport, showcased the remarkable life of WW1 flying ace and Victoria Cross recipient Billy Bishop, and featured an interview with his son Arthur Bishop, WW2 Veteran and author.
 
“I am pleased that my father’s legacy continues to be celebrated and I thank the Toronto Port Authority and Media Monkey Productions for this opportunity,” says Arthur Bishop author of Winged Combat.
