Toronto (September 1, 2016) – Please be advised that the 2016 Canadian International Air Show is scheduled to take place on the Labour Day weekend, as follows:
Practice Day:
Friday, September 2 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Show Days (from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. EST daily):
Saturday, September 3
Sunday, September 4
Monday, September 5
In this regard, the area between the mouth of the Humber River to south of Gibraltar Point, including the Western Channel, will be closed to both inbound and outbound vessel traffic beginning one hour prior to the posted dates and times until the conclusion of each days’ events.
Additionally, the waters behind the Breakwall and at Hanlan’s Point will be closed to all watercraft including canoes, kayaks, SUPs, wind surfers and kite-boarders.
Boaters are instructed to take direction from the Toronto Police Service Marine Unit, who will be in attendance at all times during the event. When possible, the Police Marine Unit will allow access to the National Yacht Club and Alexandra Yacht Club through the Western Channel during airshow hours.
