Press Videotaping and Photography
PortsToronto owns and operates Billy Bishop Airport, the Port of Toronto and Outer Harbour Marina. The Port Authority also has jurisdiction over the waters of Toronto Harbour and the Leslie Street Spit (Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.)
Members of the media who would like to film or take photographs on, from or at PortsToronto property must receive advance permission from the Communications and Public Affairs Department. Department staff can be reached at 416-863-2075 or communications@portstoronto.com during regular business hours.
Billy Bishop Airport
PortsToronto controls access to the airport ferry; passenger ferry terminals; airport parking, pickup and drop off areas and Port Authority administration office. To access these areas, advance approval must be sought from the Communications and Public Affairs Department.
The Port Authority does not grant access to these areas for commercial filming or photography. PortsToronto reserves the right to deny such requests.

PortsToronto reserves the right to restrict videotaping and photography at the airport. Videotaping in runway and taxiway areas is prohibited at all times. Media wishing to photograph, film or conduct interviews at the airport may be accompanied by escort provided by the operator or PortsToronto.
Videotaping and photography at/of security checkpoint areas operated by the Canadian Air Transportation Security Authority (CATSA) or Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is prohibited without their consent.
Port of Toronto
PortsToronto owns and operates the Port of Toronto’s Marine Terminals 51 and 52, the International Marine Passenger Terminal, and the waters in Toronto’s Inner Habour that fall under its jurisdiction. The Port Authority also owns and operates the Ship Channel bridge on Unwin Avenue. Media wishing to access these areas for filming, photography or conducting interviews must receive permission in advance from PortsToronto’s Communications and Public Affairs Department at 416-863-2075 or communications@portstoronto.com during regular business hours. Media may be accompanied by an escort provided by the Port Authority and will be required to present valid ID at security checkpoints.
Outer Harbour Marina
Media who wish to photograph, videotape or conduct interviews at the Outer Harbour Marina must receive permission in advance from PortsToronto’s Communications and Public Affairs Department at 416-863-2075 or communications@portstoronto.com during regular business hours.
Commercial Media (Advertising, Documentary, Film, Television)
PortsToronto accommodates commercial media filming and photography at most of its facilities.
Inquiries and applications must be submitted well in advance so that details can be arranged prior to the shooting date.
Please note requests will not be received less than ten business days before the shooting date.
