Toronto (April 28, 2016) – PortsToronto today announced the launch of its redeveloped and newly responsive website (www.portstoronto.com), designed to make it easier for visitors, users and stakeholders of PortsToronto’s three owned and operated businesses – Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, Marine Terminals 51 and 52 within the Port of Toronto, and the Outer Harbour Marina – to access the online information they need quickly and on any mobile device.

PortsToronto’s website maintains its purpose as a valuable communication tool for airport travellers, port users, members of Toronto`s boating community, the general public and community stakeholders. However, the new site design will help connect visitors – in a more efficient and visually attractive manner – to the most pertinent information they seek through a number of new and advanced features, including:
  • A fresh, modern and visually engaging design;
  • Fully responsive mobile capabilities that allow visitors to quickly access the site on any device– desktop, tablet or smartphone;
  • Enhanced integration of PortsToronto’s social media channels;
  • Advanced site search abilities enabling even the most specific information to be found quickly and easily; and,
  • A new and improved News section of the site, which enables visitors to filter by year and by category.
“PortsToronto is about making connections through our airport, port and marina, while at the same time offering visitors convenience and world-class experiences, however they choose to access our services,” said Geoffrey Wilson, CEO of PortsToronto. “The launch of our newly designed website now extends this experience online, enabling people to navigate and find the information they seek quickly, and in an environment that reflects the customer-orientated values and innovation that drive PortsToronto.”

In early June, PortsToronto will also launch a new interactive map of PortsToronto’s businesses, providing visitors with information regarding the port, airport and marina. It will also feature a new microsite aimed at promoting the Port of Toronto and the important commodities delivered through the port into the heart of the city each year from around the world.
