Toronto Port Authority Chairman to Speak at Toronto Region Board of Trade

The Toronto Port Authority (TPA) Chairman, Mark McQueen, will deliver a keynote address at the Toronto Region Board of Trade on October 21, 2013 entitled:

Do No Harm - The Toronto Port Authority's Test for Porter Airlines' Jet Proposal
The TPA Board Chair will discuss the lens through which the TPA will assess Porter Airlines' proposal to bring jets into Billy Bishop Airport, should the proposal be approved by Toronto City Council.  Mr. McQueen will present key facts that will underpin the TPA's considerations, and provide an update on pending regulatory developments that will impact Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, regardless of Council's decision on the issue of commercial jets.

Now in its second century of operations, the Toronto Port Authority has seen much change on Toronto’s waterfront as the city has grown to become Canada’s largest and North America’s fourth largest city.  Billy Bishop Airport is an important part of that change.  Today, the airport contributes $1.9 billion annually in economic output to Toronto and is responsible for 5,700 jobs.

Tickets may be purchased on line at www.bot.com  Individual tickets are $79 for members or $99 for non-members. Tables of eight can be purchased for $632 for members and $792 for non-members.

We hope you will attend this event and look forward to seeing you at the luncheon.
